Everybody is welcome to the Chemnitzer Linux-Tage (Linux days) from the 1st - 2nd March 2008. It is a two day event dealing with Linux and Open Source. The Linux days have been taking place for the last 10 years and we are pleased to participate once again this year.

Virtualization on three levels with the Diskless Shared Root Cluster
The cluster virtualization enables the summarization of various servers to a unit, a so called Single System, which is as easy to manage as a single workstation.
Virtualization in conjunction with high availability cluster on base of a Single System Image (SSI) enables among other things the consolidation of data, provides a high protection of investment for the hardware, lays the foundations for server less backup and the use of elegant protocols, like iSCSI.
The Diskless Shared Root Cluster on Linux base is such a high availability cluster.
